Why Mossreed

What makes these programmes different

Most people approaching their mid-50s know they need to plan — they just haven't found a space to do it that takes their questions seriously.

Education, not advice

We are educators, not licensed advisers. Our programmes give you the understanding to ask better questions of your own providers — not a substitute for professional consultation.

Designed for adults 40+

The pace, the font size, the format, the reading materials — all chosen with participants aged 40 to 65 in mind. No jargon, no slides packed with numbers, no rushing.

Malaysia-specific context

EPF structures, SOCSO, PRS, unit trusts, local housing considerations — our content reflects what participants here actually encounter in their documents and conversations.

Small groups, real conversations

Cohorts are kept small so that participants can speak openly about their situations. Hearing how others navigate similar questions is often as valuable as the study materials.

Practical, document-focused

We use real anonymised documents as teaching material. By the end, you can pick up your EPF statement or insurance schedule and understand what it actually says.

Flexible attendance formats

Programmes run in Kuala Lumpur as well as online, and schedules account for working adults who cannot always attend weekday sessions.

Take the first step

Is now a reasonable time to start thinking this through?

Most of our participants say they wished they had started the conversation a few years earlier. Enquire about any programme and we will explain what it covers and whether it suits where you are now.

Common Questions

Questions we hear often

If something isn't answered here, please reach out directly — we respond to every enquiry.

Who are these programmes designed for?
Working adults aged 40 and above who are beginning to think about the years before and after they leave full-time work. You do not need prior finance knowledge — the programmes are built from the assumption that participants are intelligent adults who simply haven't had a structured opportunity to look at these topics together.
Do you provide financial advice or investment recommendations?
No. Mossreed is an educational programme provider, not a licensed financial advisory firm. Our educators help participants understand documents, concepts, and options — so that when participants speak with their own licensed advisers, they can do so with much greater clarity and confidence.
Which programme should I start with?
If you want to get a broad view of the decade ahead, start with Mapping Your Pre-Retirement Decade. If you specifically want to understand the paperwork you already have, The Quiet Numbers Workshop is the most practical starting point. If you are ready for a deeper, structured engagement, The Long Horizon Programme covers the full range. We are happy to talk through which fits best.
Are the programmes available online?
Yes. Most programmes are available both in-person at our Kuala Lumpur centre and online. The Quiet Numbers Workshop specifically offers both formats. Online sessions use a straightforward video platform and all printed materials are couriered to participants.
How large are the groups?
We keep cohorts deliberately small. The Long Horizon Programme typically runs with 8–14 participants. The Quiet Numbers Workshop accommodates up to 12 per session. This allows for genuine conversation and the kind of questions people don't usually ask in large seminars.
What is the cost and how do I register?
Programmes are priced at RM 580, RM 1,290, and RM 2,890 respectively. To register, simply send us an enquiry through the contact section below and we will share the upcoming schedule, confirm availability, and walk you through the registration steps.
Is my personal information kept private?
Yes. All personal information shared with Mossreed is handled with care and not shared with third parties. Within programmes that use group discussion, participants set their own boundaries on what they share. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.
